An expert not involved in the matter said that "the statute of limitations could become a major point of contention if the federal government chooses to zealously defend the case."       

Plaintiffs' lawyers in California moved to dismiss Uber's racketeering lawsuit against them, while another company, J-M Manufacturing, filed a new case alleging similar claims against the Gori Law Firm, an asbestos plaintiffs' firm.
